Project Manager

A project manager at Performa leads a client through our process of Listen.Engage.Design.®, communicates and leads a team of architects, engineers, and designers, and experiences the reward when the owners' vision transforms into reality.

This position exists to ensure that Performa's clients receive the highest professional service to ensure project success.  In addition to managing the in-house project team's quality of work, coordination of disciplines, and conformance to codes, the project manager is responsible for all aspects of the client relationship throughout the project.

Performa is an architectural and engineering firm located in De Pere, WI that helps organizations succeed by designing superior performing environments that facilitate organizational success in partnership with our clients. We do this through understanding our client's unique needs by being exceptional listeners; being completely open and honest about the challenges that are present; and finding the right solution regardless of difficulty.

General Duties & Responsibilities:

-May lead or assist in authoring Company proposals and contracts 

-Direct design meetings with the client and project team; coordinate outside consultants and ensure project progresses at pace required by the schedule; conduct final review of documents with client and project team

-Obtain and update cost estimates as necessary

-Determine applicable codes and regulations

-Employ quality assurance techniques and procedures

-Arrange for required regulatory approvals

Requirements:

-Professional degree in Architecture with 10+ years relevant work experience to include management of multiple projects.

-Architectural registration is required and NCARB certification is preferred.

-Experience in the design and construction of facilities related to Corporate/Commercial and/or Higher Education is highly beneficial.

-Experience in project financial management and contract administration, including project coordination, budgeting, scheduling and contract negotiations

-Ability to organize and prioritize workload to meet strict deadlines

-Thorough knowledge of building materials and construction methods; knowledge of procedures and sequencing of construction documents; intimate knowledge of building codes, regulations and requirements

-Well developed analytical and problem solving skills; ability to apply logical steps to problem solving and ability to make independent decisions

-Strong communication skills, including verbal, listening and written

-Ability to guide and supervise the work of others in a respectful manner

-Strong computer aptitude to include knowledge of Revit and Microsoft Office
